Samantha Tibbets, B.S.
- Lab Secretary-
Sami is interested in metacognition, memory, and learning. She enjoys doing research with metacognition and its effect on academic performance and success. She has also dabbled in some gender and sexuality research. Sami is from from Idaho and Wyoming, but she most recently moved to up Logan from Ogden, UT. She got her B.S. in Psychology from Weber State University. Sami loves ice cream, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys playing board games and card games, and she loves binge-watching her favorite shows on Netflix & Hulu.

Aliya Halterman, B.S.

Aliya Halterman graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelors of science in psychology, and a certificate in positive psychology. Her research interests include self regulated learning, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other assessment techniques built around positive psychology methods. She is originally from California, but has found a great home in Utah, and in her free time she enjoys swimming, and going on long walks with her poodle.

Dr. Greg Callan, PhD, HSPP
Dr. Gregory Callan earned his Ph.D from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, completed his doctoral internship and clinical postdoctoral training with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. His primary area of research is self-regulated learning and he has taught a variety of courses regarding school psychology and educational psychology. Greg is originally from Wisconsin or the land of cheese and cold winters. In his free time, Greg enjoys playing electric guitar, skiing, photography, and swimming.

David Longhurst, B.S.
David is a doctoral student in Dr. Callan’s SRL lab from Bountiful, Utah. Prior to attending Utah State University, David graduated from Southern Utah University with his B.S. in Psychology. His current research interests include academic interventions, self-regulated learning, motivation, and parent/teacher training. David enjoys going to the University’s sporting events, especially the football and basketball games. He is also a huge soccer fan, his favorite teams are the local professional team Real Salt Lake, and Manchester City in England. During his free time David loves to ski during the winter months and explore the many hikes and mountains surrounding the Logan area.

Sami is from the intermountain west, and is moving to Salt Lake City for her internship with Jordan School District. She graduated with her M.Ed. from Utah State University and got her B.S. in Psychology from Weber State University. Sami loves ice cream, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys playing board games and card games, and she loves watching shows and movies.

Kelsey Crowson, B.S.
Kelsey joined the SRL lab and School Psychology PhD program after teaching middle school English for five years in Sheridan, Wyoming. While teaching, she became fascinated with the psychology behind learning. Her research interests are focused on the various facets involved in embedding self-regulated learning in schools. Kelsey is a Utah State University alumni with her bachelor’s degree in English education, including additional specializations in history and psychology education. Outside of learning, Kelsey enjoys reading horror novels, exploring new places, and spending time with her family.

Molly Johnson, EdS.
I’m Molly- EdS student by day, Netflix enthusiast by night.
I completed my undergrad in Spring 2020 in Psychology and HDFS as well as my Master of Education in Spring 2022 from Utah State University . I love the school psychology field, and have specific research interest in self-regulated learning. Some of my favorite things include traveling, the color green, and my doodle dogs, Charlee and Ruby.

Anthony Ariotti, B.S.
Anthony is a recent psychology graduate from Utah State University with a minor in statistics. He currently lives in New York City, working part-time as an ABA therapist and assisting in Dr. Callan’s research remotely. Anthony’s interests include self-regulated learning, disparities research, perception, and all things data analysis. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, exercising, and catching up on the latest memes.
Saige Bowman, B.F.A.; B.S.
Saige graduated from Utah State University in 2010 with a bachelor of fine arts in secondary education, concentrating in graphic design. She has been serving as a public educator, and is in pursuit of a masters degree in art therapy. Saige is interested in using the visual arts as an effective coping strategy for the growing anxiety and depression rates among today's youth. Being born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley, with the beautiful views of the rugged Wasatch Front, a love and need for her to be a part of nature and hiking became integrated into her daily life. In addition to finding Saige wandering the wilderness, you may also spot her traveling the world, finding the worst movies possible, creating artwork, playing the most innovative and nerdy games, and spending time with friends and family.
Konner Simmons
Konner is from a small town in Idaho. He is currently finishing up majors in Nutrition Science and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry and will graduate this upcoming spring. His plan is to continue higher education in medicine or psychology, and is waiting to see what catches his attention. Konner likes to dance, hammock, roller skate, travel with friends, play sports, and be involved. He is currently part of an executive team for USU's Dance Marathon for Primary Children's hospital, the A-team on campus, the Psi Chi Club, and the newly formed President's Cabinet for this 2019-2020 year.

Shalee Carter
Shalee is currently a Senior in her last semester at Utah State. She is a majoring in psychology with a minor in women and gender studies. Her plan is to continue her education with a Masters in School Counseling after graduating in December. Shalee is from Syracuse, UT but currently resides in Morgan, UT. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her husband and crazy one year old daughter, read, binge watch Netflix, and do just about anything outside.
